You neglected to put the other part of the punchline (as mentioned by the WSJ's Best of the Web, among other places): The Onion already predicted this a year and a half ago.

Barron's had a cover featuring a ten blade razor in a story on Gillette 6 or 7 years ago saying that is what would be necessary ifGillette were to maintain its growth.
