Technorati's always-interesting quarterly "State of the Blogosphere" is up.
They are currently tracking "57 million blogs and counting".
As for the state of the econoblogosphere, Brian Gongol continues his worthy effort to track the "major business and economics websites". Comparing his most recent--November--rankings to his earliest--June--we see that the three economics blogs--of the ones with publicly available information--having the biggest absolute gains in readership are Greg Mankiw's Blog, Economist's View, and Marginal Revolution. I read Mankiw and Marginal Revolution regularly and recommend them.
Among the econ blogs with the largest percentage gains in readership are two that I also enjoy: Andrew Samwick's Vox Baby and John Palmer's EclectEcon.
(The readership of Newmark's Door between the two dates was approximately flat. We realize that the Door is an acquired taste.)

If the taste were being acquired, wouldn't the readership have increased?

Well, I seem to have acquired it. I'm kind of disappointed when the weekend rolls around and posting ceases.
