The Vesuvio's cheesesteak is not a cheesesteak, it's a tarted-up version for people with too much money and overly-refined tastes. A real cheesesteak has Cheese Wiz (a cheese-like product as the manufacturer declares), not cheese, and onions. Cheesesteaks are supposed to be declasse, not gourmet.

Also, they couldn't find a pulled-pork sandwhich?

I lived in New Orleans for four years and tried the Muffeletta a couple of times, but didn't like it. I think that it might be a bit of a marketing gimmick. The best sandwich I've ever had is the Radiator's Special. It had fried shrimp and oysters on a french roll with cheese. They served it at a place called Cooter Brown's, which is (or was, I'm not sure) just below the levee off of St Charles Ave. near Carrolton, where the street car ends uptown.

I would also nominate the real Cuban sandwiches that are very hard to find outside of Miami or Tampa (and maybe Cuba).

If you're looking for a great pulled pork sandwich, I recommend Oklahoma Joe's in Kansas City.

I think the best sandwich I've ever eaten was at the Midnight Express in the ski town of Chamonix.

Okay as a chowhound and a foodie, can I say that this list is HORRIBLE. Who did they put on this? Ugh!!! No Pats, no Ginos? And the LOBSTER ROLL is from Cali and not Maine?
