UCLA gets stood up . . . again
Last year Bill Clinton was supposed to give the commencement address but he backed out. (It was, supposedly, an AFSCME union thing.)
This year, in what I assume many graduates would view as a major step down, UCLA invited actor James Franco. But, citing a need "to be on location to begin pre-production on my next film", he, too, bailed.
Note for next year: I'm available. (And I'm an alum!)
UPDATE: the last-minute replacement is the lead guitarist for Linkin Park.
