The NY Times has an article on why the Honda Accord is so successful. Honda's formula for success is extremely complicated, involving nonlinear partial differential equations and topology, but after several hours of intense study, I can report to the Door's readers an approximate version of the key ideas: Find out what your customers want. Give it to them at a price they are willing to pay. Hope for competitors that don't understand this as well as you do.
