I occasionally remind my students what an unbelievably wealthy society we're living in. Here's another piece of evidence: according to the National Association of Realtors, last year 36% of residential home sales were for second homes.

And according to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are 6.6 million vacation homes and 37.2 million second homes-as-investments (versus 72.1 million owner-occupied homes).

The Blog's syndication revenues better start soon; the blogging Newmarks only have one home and quite clearly, we're not keeping up.
