Commuter rail in New Mexico??

This page has ranted on occasion that light rail is almost always a dopey idea, even for areas with reasonably high population density.

It's now being considered for New Mexico and I refer you to a nice--calmer and more reasonable than I would be--piece by the Rio Grande Foundation.
